Traveling Exhibition: One Soul: When Humanity Fails
The Afikim Foundation announces the availability of One Soul: When Humanity
Fails for public libraries.
A joint effort of the foundation the U.S. Army and New York City municipal
government, the traveling multimedia exhibition is a first in a series of
tolerance building/human rights exhibits and focuses on America's role in
the liberation of the concentration camps. It provides an introduction to
the events that led to the creation and eventual liberation of the camps
during World War II, in a context that enables visitors to connect on
historical, political, and personal levels. The exhibition illustrates the
tragic history of the camps, but also the heroic stories of liberation and
survival that marked their end.
Multiples copies of the exhibition have been fabricated and are circulating
to such sites as Community Centers, Military base museums, Colleges, Public
Libraries, and historic museums, as well as the Senate Building on Capitol
Hill.
