[Publib] Portable DVD players

Hello: We no longer rent out a DVD player, but we use to. The reason
we stopped is that the cost of players is so cheap everyone owns one.
The rental unit we had was a self-contained unit. With written
instructions on the case. We charged $10.00/week and $5.00/day overdue
fines. We made sure everyone understood the fines before they checked
it out. We had very good luck with rentals.

Subject: [Publib] Portable DVD players

Hi

Does any public library currently loan portable DVD players to patrons
to
be taken outside of the library? We are currently investigating a
partnership with a local community group and they are willing to support
this venture. I'm interested in finding out if other libraries have done
this and what problems/solutions occurred.

Thank-you
