[Publib] Any U.K. librarians out there?

Hello!

I am working on my midterm for an intro to library science class, and for the paper we are supposed to visit a library (in person or virtually) and write up a "snapshot" of the library. I was trying to find someone in an academic library in Cardiff because I thought it would be interesting but that idea fell through.

So I was wondering if there was anyone here working in a library in the U.K. who had some time in the next few days to answer some questions via email for me? The presentation is Oct 8th and the paper is due a week later. If all else I have my local library to fall back on (I can easily fill up 8 pages just on the process of designing and building the brand new facility), but I am really curious about how libraries in the U.K. differ from those here in the U.S. In particular I'm dying to know how libraries in Wales deal with the bilingual nature of government there (I noticed everything official is in English & Welsh).

Please reply off-list, chramary at my.dom.edu or mjchrabasz at yahoo.com

Thanks in advance!!

Mary Jo
