I believe this skill will be consistent: knowledge of a foreign
language.  Even if you aren't fluent, it'll be a tremendous help to a
non-English speaking patron.

If your municipality offers translation service via phone, learn how to
use it and have visible signs about it around the library.  (I've had to
use the Language Line service a few times)
