[Publib] Survey

Library folk don't take long to respond to surveys.  120 have taken  the poll 
since this morning.  I will post the results on my own website  later (not 
now, eh?) because I also want to post all the comments that have been  written.  
Some of those are interesting, but as we've been saying here,  Publib is no 
place for that sort of discussion.  
 
As to "library politics," can anybody recall any presidential candidate who  
really had anything specific to say, in words or in platform language, about  
libraries?  I mean, that didn't come out as a prompting from some  ringer?
 
Finally:  If Truman had answered the door to Blair House on November  1, 
1950, who would have been in his shoes the next morning?
