A sincere thanks to the many folks who offered book suggestions for soldiers. The one-page list I made is attached. I intend to compile a bibliography, but wanted to get the titles and authors sent on immediately.
-->Moderator's note: listserv software doesn't "do" attachments. Please drop Theresa a note at spikewilliams at insightbbb.com if you'd like a copy of the list.

One respondent advised that: Mass-market paperbacks are the best type of book to send (or magazines/comics). The conditions can be harsh and sandy, and books are heavy to send/bring home, and often soldiers will pass their books around to others. My husband finds paperbacks are the easiest to handle. Paperbacks should be sent in the post office's special APO flat rate box; there's no weight limit and it's larger than the regular flat rate boxes.

Again, a world of thanks.
