We allow patrons to bring in digital cameras or other equipment into the
Library and use on our workstations as long as their devices don't require
extra software to be installed. I would recommend that your IT dept install
card readers (e.g., SD card readers), on at least a couple of workstations,
to allow for more flexibility with digital devices. Card readers enable the
patrons to plug in their cards instead of connecting the device to a USB
port, which may require software to be installed.
Good luck,
Darren
