[Publib] Library Journal Seeking Writers

[Kuzyk, Raya (RBI-US)]

Library Journal (www.libraryjournal.com) is seeking writers for the
following:
1. A feature addressing the ways in which libraries with significantly
sized media collections are securing, maintaining, and replacing their
CDs and DVDs. E.g.: Are they securing them via gates/tags/cases,
placement (behind the circulation desk), dispensing units? What measures
are they taking to assess their physical condition, minimize overall
wear and tear? What weeding criteria are they applying? Article would
involve surveying a healthy cross-section of libraries.
2. A Collection Development article discussing and reviewing core
acquisitions for libraries collecting EXERCISE & FITNESS DVDs.
3. A Collection Development article discussing and reviewing core
acquisitions for libraries collecting LITERARY MEMOIRS ON AUDIO.
