We allow one hour per day. It can be broken up into multiple sessions,
but it's one hour. If someone is working on job applications, resumes,
whatnot *and* there's no one waiting, we will extend for up to one more
hour. Our public PCs are just too busy to allow longer use. We have 18
stations.

Subject: [Publib] Internet Computers--Time limits
For those of you who offer internet service, what limits do you have on
amount of time an individual can use per day? If you have no limit, I
would like to know that, too, along with rationales for both cases. I
have worked in libraries that had no limit, but a limit was always
instituted after a while. My experience when there was no limit was
that the same people were there all day & evening, which can cause its
own set of concerns. So if you could share benefits and drawbacks of
whatever system you use or did use and elected to discontinue, that
would be helpful.
