[Publib] Possible scam

I didn't post my original message because I was taken in by the hard
sell, but more so others would be aware they might get a similar call.

I, too, am often terse: "No, we do NOT accept books on review", "We
aren't buying anything right now", "Not interested, thank you."

I once saw a hilarious list (on the Internet) of suggested scripts to
use with telemarketers and "courtesy" callers of every type.  I wish I
could find it again.  The one I remember specifically was to interrupt
the caller abruptly by yelling "Oh my god my couch is on fire!" and slam
the phone down.

In reading this thread, I am kind of surprised that so many people
actually talk to book telemarketers.   Maybe I am just mean but I tell
them no and HANG UP!   They get no chance to get a word in edgewise, or
maybe they do but I am no longer on the line!
