Okay here's my favorite phone inquiry:

"Do y'all still have that big green book?"
"Do you know the title or author?"
"It's a big green book.  Y'all keep it in the back."
"I'm sorry, sir.... do you know what subject it's on?"
"It's a big green book that tells you what sex your parents are.  I checked
it out before.... now I need it again."
 
I was momentarily stunned, then realized that the exaggerated backwoods
"Bubba" voice on the phone was none other than my assistant director.  This
was his idea of initiation.
