[Publib] Digital picture frames / countertop displays

Greetings!
I am looking for recommendations on digital picture frames. I would like to
get something I can put out on the counter to display small, homemade signs
that I print out currently. Ideally, it would have a display around
standard paper size (8.5x11), that can cycle between 3 or 4 pdf docs or some
other ubiquitous format (too much to ask for compatability with Word, I
think). The digital frames I have seen so far have thick, ugly borders
around the edges (waste of valuable space in a desktop display) and cost
over 150 dollars -- not to mention having unnecessary (for my purposes)
features like showing videos and playing MP3 files. I just want to put up
an 8.5x11 homemade display sign saying what the next special event is,
cycling to another about which book we are reading for this month's book
club, etc.
In short, can you recommend any cheaper digital picture frames with
minimal borders? Thank you!
