[Kutztown Public Library]

Located in rural Berks county, the Louisa Gonser Community Library is within walking distance of  Kutztown University, a 30 minute drive of the Lehigh Valley and Reading areas, and "daytrip" distance of New York City, Philadelphia and Harrisburg. The library serves the roughly 15,000 residents of the Kutztown area and is a member of Berks Public Library System.

We are currently seeking a Director with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, 12 credits of Library Science coursework and three years of library experience, but we encourage candidates with an MLS to apply.  This is a full time position with a comprehensive benefits package provided by the Borough of Kutztown.  We are a Family Place library, committed to supporting early literacy and young families.  We are currently in the process of renovating a previously unfinished space in our facility to be a children's program area and community meeting space.  We are also committed to building partnerships with the local school librarians, and the librarians and faculty at the University.
