Dear Collective Brain,
We have had a long standing rental book collection. People unwilling to
wait for their reserve to come up on a best seller can rent it from a
separate collection. At the present time we charge $2.00 for a two week
check out. Because our budget is very tight, we must break even with the
cost.
We are presently considering expanding the rental collection and adding
books on CD. Do any of your libraries presently have such a program?
How successful is it?
Do you offer only unabridged books or do you included abridged?
How much do you charge? Does the program break even or does it cost the
library?
Any other pros or cons?
I will compile the answers. Thanks for your help.
