There were others I enjoyed but the most satisfying book I read this year was Confessor by Terry Goodkind.
It was the final novel in the Sword of Truth and he really did wrap up the loose ends, throw in a few surprises but it was well done and wonderful. Highly enjoyable series, the books' lengths can be intimidating, but it is worth the time if you enjoy fantasy novels.

One of my favorites that I read this year although it was published a few years ago is Between the Bridge and the River by Craig Ferguson

Published this year (I think anyway):

When You Are Engulfed In Flames by David Sedaris

The Girl From Foreign by Sadia Shepard

In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan

I am drawing a blank on the fiction side. guess I read more non-fiction this year!
