[Publib] The Day After

I must admit I am disappointed in the results of the election. I hope
that all those who placed their faith yesterday in President Elect Obama
will not be disappointed.

This morning on the way to school with my 15 year old son, we were
discussing the election results. I came up with my list of 10 positive
things about the P.E., as suggested yesterday by some wise Publibber.

So here's my list of 10 items I can like about P.E. Obama, not
necessarily in order of importance:
1. He cherishes his family
2. H accomplished something I never expected to see happen in my
lifetime, or at least not until I was much older (current age: 38)
3. He is very enthusiastic
4. I liked most of his speech last night
5. He is handsome :-)
6. He has a vision that many people can believe in
7. He is from Illinois and hopefully will restore our faith in IL
politicians
8. He is young enough to make a difference for a long time to come
9. Many people voted yesterday than have in a long time
10. He is patriotic

Have a great day all. Congratulations to all of you who were Obama
supporters. I hope he can fulfill his promises!

`Got up this morning @ 5:30 am - made my vital cup of java & turned on
the TV..
Then I opened up the back patio door & listened to the peacock family
making their rounds to the pond. No primal scream here - just tears of
joy ;-)
Barack Obama just accomplished what no one else has before - I have
absolutely no doubts that he can deliver on what this country needs.

	Interesting thought!

I am intrigued that the voter turnout rate is expected to be
85%. A trend for more participation in our democracy? Let's hope it
continues.

I appreciate everyone's optimism that we will in fact have a
president Wednesday morning. I have my doubts that vote counting will
go that well. Am I the only one has this concern? I'm forecasting that
we won't know who is president until November 11th.

Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe ABC, CBS, FOX NEWS, & all the other
networks will call the election before the polls have closed...
