I recently attended a conference involving prison ministries and outreach services/reentry programs in prisons and jails, and I have been thinking of how I might put together programming for this particular audience in my own community.

As our department serves "at-risk" children and low income families, I am aware that many of the children who come on the bookmobile have a parent or relative that may be incarcerated - or have a family member that may be struggling to successfully integrate back into society after a lengthy stay in prison and/or jail.

Are any of you involved in any type of "life skills" and/or reentry programming at a local prison or jail facility? If so, I would like to hear from you.
