LIBRARIAN I
The City of Dubuque, Iowa (population 60,000) invites applications for the position of Librarian I. The successful candidate will be performing professional library reference work including answering reference questions; assisting users with computerized catalog and other electronic library tools and materials; serving as readers' advisor; performing bibliographic instruction; developing and maintaining the collection in the assigned areas and working with volunteers and employees toward achieving excellence in public library service. The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited school and some adult reference experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to follow a management philosophy that is input oriented and values problem solving and the development of partnerships, and a desire to be part of an organization that values service, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation and teamwork. The City offers an annual salary range of $43,555 to $56,888 and an attractive benefit package.
