[Publib] Can't figure out the book title!

Hello publibbers, 

 

I need assistance.. I have a book plot that maybe someone can figure out for
me.

 

Patron says it's a short book, maybe under 100 pages, published in the last
20 years.

 

Protagonist is a pilot who flies a bi-plane from county fair to county fair.
He lands somewhere and he's cleaning his plane because it's filthy & full of
bugs.  Somehow, a "person" touches the plane and the bugs reanimate and fly
off the plane [type of religious parable book].  When this 'person' speaks,
it's printed in a  gothic type of font; different than the rest of the book.
Words of wisdom, etc. 

 

Patron never finished the book. 

 

Any clue out there?
