[Publib] Friday Question

I've pursued several different routes to career happiness (see LinkedIn - http://www.linkedin.com/in/dwdawson).
When I learned about the PLA job I really worked to get it, because once I asked myself the question "What do you think about public libraries?" I realized how important this often overlooked institution was to me. I knew I could support public libraries wholeheartedly.
I love my job because I think I have a pretty good grasp on what I know about interactive development. I think I have a pretty good attitude about customer service. I plan on applying that knowledge and attitude to the benefit of public librarians. I love my job because of the folks I work with. I love my job because during my lunch break I can walk around the John Hancock tower and look out across the lake. I love my job because my colleagues read! and they recommend books! I love my job because public libraries are awesome.
I think public librarians rock. I love my job because I'm in a position to help them out.

Subject: [Publib] Friday Question
Hope you all are enjoying as beautiful a day as we are here in NW Ohio. I
have asked this question once, but would like to get additional responses.
Why do you love your job? What makes you passionate about what you do?
Thanks. Looking forward to reading your responses.
