Our library would like to begin an ESL program using one- on -one
tutors.
We have been successful with an adult literacy program, using material
from
New Readers Press. However their ESL course materials are too
advanced.
Our potential customers need to learn to speak and listen. Reading is
not
their first goal. I would appreciate suggestions for materials that you
have found useful for this purpose. Thanks

New Readers Press is publishing arm of what was Laubach Literacy
International, which does have an ESL program available - you can find
information at www.laubach.org or www.proliteracy.org - choose English-
No problem. It has been a while since I have been involved with an ESL
Program- but their material is designed to be used 1 on 1 and with no
knowledge of the student's language
