[Publib] Library Program in Jail

Hi

We lend books to the local mens and womens jails on a monthly basis. It works in much the same way as our resthome service. We issue 3-4 crates worth of books to a lib card and then these are picked up from a set library by prison staff. They are returned 4 weeks later and exchanged for a new set. The prison gets to detail what types of books they would prefer and how many of those books they want.

Subject: [Publib] Library Program in Jail

This one may have been brought up before, but if so I do not recall it.
Have any of you out there in Library-Land ever started any sort of
program in your local jail/detention center? If so could you please
share some details?
Thanks!
Miranda
