[Publib] Parks and libraries partnerships

Can anyone give me information about partnerships between libraries and parks?  The Hauppauge Public Library in Suffolk County NY has an opportunity to purchase an acre of land in Hidden Pond Park within the Township of Islip.  We are looking for examples of partnerships.  We believe the synergy between the park and library could well be wonderful.  Library patrons could enjoy the park's trails, picnic facilities etc and othr park patron would be able to enjoy the library's many services in addition to the park's other facilities.
