[Publib] Blogging in libraries

Morton Grove Public Library has several blogs on our website  
(www.webrary.org). We have links to them from our homepage but also  
have links on individual pages of our site depending on the audience,  
thus our By The Book blog is in the Reader's Corner section, our Did  
You Know? blog is in the Research Center section, etc. We use Blogger  
for the blog and also use Google Analytics for statistics. We have  
had them less than a year but are slowly seeing hits increase. The  
Adult Reference staff all are charged with the task of posting to the  
blogs but as with all new technologies, some have taken to it more  
than others. We have not had many comments from patrons but staff  
seems to enjoy reading them and we do know they are being read  
outside of the Library.
