[Publib] background music

In my last life I used to manage a book store and we played music non-stop - mostly new age (it was the 80s) and film soundtracks. We had so many people asking what was playing that we eventually started selling CDs and did pretty well (we couldn't keep the soundtrack for the movie "The Mission" in stock). Having said that though - but of course in a library people sometimes read or study here (rather than just browse though people do that too) and some people (myself included) can't concentrate with music playing. If it's good music I start to focus on the music, if it's music I don't like I start to fixate on how annoying the music is.
