[Publib] importance of narrators in audio books

I agree that a narrator can certainly enhance the enjoyment of an audio book and if I hear one narrator read a particular authors' work then it is sometimes hard to listen to another narrator read the same author. My main problem with audio books is that many books that I would like to listen to (like Charles Stross) are not available as audio or only available on older cassettes (Simenon's Maigret series).

Who likes to listen to books & knit.
Currently listening to "Inimitable Jeeves" by PG Wodehouse while knitting a very colorful hat for a 4 year old girl and trying not to drop stitches during the funnier bits. No matter how many time I read or hear Wodehouse, he is always amusing.

PS: If anyone out there know where I can get unabridged Maigret on CD, please contact me off-list!
