[Publib] Holiday Closing -- Veterans Day

Folks,

I have held off on commenting about not closing on Veterans Day, but I feel 
that since so many libraries are open, I must comment.

Our local veterans would object most strenuously if we were open on Veterans 
Day. I'm surprised that those of you who are open don't get the same 
objections.

Veterans are the people who are still alive after all the 20th century wars. 
They think we owe them the honor of a holiday in their recognition, and I 
agree.

Do veterans in other parts of the country besides the south not feel so 
strongly?
