[Publib] 2 view of librarians and humor on publib

Two librarian thoughts:
 
I was instant messaging my cousin when I mentioned that there was a ‘librarian action figure’.  Before he could ask it, I told him that she did make the ‘shushing’ motion.  He was flummoxed.
 
I and a group of 18 other library personnel were attending ‘The Price is Right”. (This is back in the days before Drew Carey.)  We even had shirts that said ‘Librarians Love TPIR”.  The group in front of us said that they had never seen librarians behave like we did!  I explained to them that we usually had to behave because we were at work.  (Between takes, the host would talk to the audience.  When someone told him that there were librarians in the audience, he very nicely pointed us out on-air.  I wasn’t able to see the show the day it was on TV, but someone told me that they kept us in the show!  Talk about exposure!)
 
I often have to delete posts that don’t interest me.  I just do the same with ‘humorous’ posts that I don’t enjoy.  Yes, ‘hydroxen’ may not be exactly library-related, but it sure does make my day!

P.S. To me, ‘hydroxen’ sounds like a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen!
