Perhaps with all the added stress from trying to go above and beyond, we
need to have "Bring chocolate to work day!" (or whatever is your food vice)
Personally, I would vote for a "Share a plate of chocolate chip cookies"
Day. What do you think? What "day" would relieve the stress at your place?

Whose library is running with circ at 13% over last year - on a 4% budget
increase. . . and not sure how?

Maybe we are all just getting very busy during this money tightening time.
The Library Directory for our system said that any time during a recession
or near recession, we tend to get a lot busier. I believer her! I know we
have increase 25% people in the Library in the last 3 months. It seems like
we cannot get anything done lately. But on the bright side we are busy and
that makes my numbers look better. I love my job!!
Everyone take a cookie or a chocolate moment (or even celery)!! And take a
deep breath. And try to start over on a positive side.

Thanks Bonnie ..no, this thread is not the PubLib-L norm. Generally, this is
8,800 of your closest colleagues and best supporters, who help with work
issues, information to make better decisions/purchases/policies, support in
the tough times, etc.
However ...it's odd... change of the seasons perhaps? It has been a tad
edgy, cranky in PubLib-L land lately ...rather more so then usual. We're not
sure why? Bear with us, as we return to our better selves!
