"First to mention Nazi's, loses."  Well, no Nazis but I did just do a
reference search to help a man find contact information for the KKK, other
white supremacist groups and anti-Hispanic hate groups.  It took all my
belief in intellectual freedom and freedom of speech to comply since it was
obvious he wanted to join or at least say "Atta boys, way to go!"  Guess
I'll do what I usually do when racism comes a little too close to where I
live and send off a donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

 

As for Haiku, I e-mailed him off the list.  He obviously thought we as
librarians should be doing more but he really didn't say what we should be
doing.  After reading his answer I'm still not sure, but he did say he was
testing Publib and we failed.  He has unsubscribed.
