They meet in a little alcove - generally 6-12 knitters. Last Sat, they hosted WWKIP and had a knitter on duty every hour, and had hourly raffles for gift certificates from Yarn Dogs, local yarn shop. Permission granted to use the knitting book logo - my son drew it for us. It is so successful that two volunteer knitters from Knit One, Read Too! run a kid's program for us in the kids area http://www.losgatosca.gov/library-kidsprograms

The larger drawing kids programs (Like snakes and other critters) are being moved to the front lawn due to overwhelming crowds and frowns from the fire marshall

Planning for more room in a new library, but coping meanwhile.

I'm looking for ideas for programs for adults ages 18-100 that can be
done without a program room. I work at an army library and we do not
have a program room. Therefore coming up with programs is difficult. I
have a small conference room, but it is often booked for meetings. Our
population varies from military that are stationed here anywhere from 1
month to several years, retired military, military families, and
civilian employees. I've already started a book discussion club that
meets once a month.
