[Publib] audiobooks on cassette

We stopped buying audios (except in rare exceptions, like the $10 each
sale we recently bought through) about a year ago. We are keeping the
collection, and will let it die a natural death. If circulation drops
precipitously, we might consider getting rid of it sooner. We still have
a lot of patrons who listen to tapes.

Subject: [Publib] audiobooks on cassette
Happy Friday from the rainsoaked Midwest! Please gather under the
umbrella and let me know what you think about audiobooks on cassette. In
particular:
Do you still collect new audiobooks in this format? Have you kept your
existing cassette audiobook collection or have you chosen to withdraw
this format entirely (and if so, when did you disband it)? If you
continue to have such a collection, what's your rationale for keeping
it? When do you anticipate not carrying cassette audiobook collection
any longer?
Thank you so much....and please help yourself to a towel!
