[Publib] music playing in library

At my last institution we played music in our AV area - it's a
completely separate, sealed off room from the rest of the library. We
would play nearly anything in the collection (from old time radio shows
to Disco, country to rock, whatever the staff was in the mood for
(although we shied away from things with offensive lyrics). Patrons
liked it and since it was separate from the rest of the library we
didn't receive complaints from those studying or working. (I.E. there
were no public PCs in this area - only OPACs)

Subject: [Publib] music playing in library
Does anyone have experience with playing music through a sound system
either throughout the library or in parts of the library? If so, what
type of music and what is the response?
