We usually have a lot of our African American fiction books (as well as
everything else) end up on the MIA list. We do not know what is missing
until someone asks for a title, so we have decided to do an inventory of
our entire fiction collection. I am very lucky that I have one of my book
club members donate her copies of books as soon as she is finished reading
them. I can replenish my collection, without using up my budget.

To read a book for the first time is to make an acquaintance with a new
friend; to read it for a second time is to meet an old one.
