[Publib] Fishing Poles

Aha! What a fun topic. I have never heard of a library checking out fishing
poles (toys, tools, yes). I would consider the following: Would the library
be liable if the fisherperson fell in and drown? If the fishing pole was
overdue, could the fine be paid in fish? What about having a fish fry on the
library grounds... byop (bring your own pole)? Have you considered buiding a
collection of unique lures? Perhaps asking for donations? I wonder if the
Library of Congress has ever barcoded a fishing pole... probably. Would it
be bamboo or fiberglass? Childrens or adults? Interesting idea. Don't you
just love summer?
Cheers,
Susan
