Sorry, I don't have any answers, but another question I can think of is,
do they need to have a fishing license?

Subject: [Publib] re: fishing poles
Our new library will be located in a beautiful park area......with a
small pond. We would like to offer fishing poles to patrons.....but I
need the logistical side thought out. If anyone has any experience with
this sort of thing, please contact me personally. Some questions that
come to mind: how long do they check out? Do you require a deposit?
Who cleans them? [we don't have facilities to do that] Who maintains and
restrings them? Are they barcoded/tracked in the database? Replacement
costs for broken items? If anyone has a policy about this, please let
me know. Thanks, Cheri Nienke
