[Publib] Senior Spaces Celebrates 1st Anniversary

Greetings--


(Old Bridge, NJ) - The Old Bridge Public Library invites the entire
community to celebrate the 1st Anniversary of Senior Spaces:??The
Library Place for Baby Boomers, Older Adults and Their Families on Thursday, June 12th.


"The Library has scheduled an exciting line-up of events for the
day to mark the anniversary and to appeal to a cross-section of our
community" noted Allan M. Kleiman, Assistant Library Director and
Senior Spaces Project Manager.??"We have designed the day to showcase
some of the best that we have done this past year," he continued.??"One
of our aims was to see how the Library could act as a catalyst in
encouraging seniors to embrace technology and we were quite successful
in doing that," he concluded.



The events for the day are currently scheduled as follows:



10am-3pm:??Demonstrations by Liz Burns from the NJ State Library for the Blind & Handicapped



10:30am-11:30am:??Savvy Seniors Monthly Meeting, presentation on Generations On Line by Michael H. Pierce



1:00pm:??Craft Club meets in Senior Spaces area



1:30pm:??Fred Miller presents, " Music, Music, Music:??Songs of the Baby Boomers, 1946-1956"



3pm-5pm:??Play Wii in the Senior Spaces area



7pm:??"You and Second Life:??Let's All Escape to the Virtual World," presented by Micki McIntyre



Light refreshments and tours of Senior Spaces will be conducted throughout the day--so come and join us!

The Central Branch of the Old Bridge Public Library is located at
