[Publib] Consensus on Board Orientation????

Commonwealth Libraries (PA) does a yearly Trustee workshop weekend. Any
trustee or Friends member can go for free (hotel and meals included) to get
some best practices, practical advice, build networks and be brought up to
date on the legal, financial and political aspects of public library  work
in PA.  We have sent several board members and they all come back with great
advice and energy.  It is a very good thing for new members especially.  

The workshop weekend is put on by Commonwealth Libraries. The link for the

Hi, folks -

 

Based on all the messages in the Board Orientation thread, what would you
all think about a conference program on the subject?   I am the PLA
representative to the ALTA Board.  They've been talking about submitting a
program proposal for the PLA Conference in 2010.
