Lise,
Did you check with the attorney before you eliminated the paper application with the patron's signature? Just curious. Our attorney told us to hold onto the paper applications in case we ever needed the signature.

We went paperless about a year ago and it has been very good. The only slight hitch has been that we created a form for parents to fill out when they get library cards for their children on which they can elect to restrict their child's card. They make their selections and sign the form and that is kept on file. Besides that there are no other forms, we simply ask for a picture ID and something with their current address and we register them directly into the ILS. HTH!

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering how many of you offer paperless library card registration. If you do offer it can you tell me what the pros/cons are of that system. We are thinking of getting rid of our paper registration and want to make sure we have thought of everything.

Thanks so much!

Nina
