[Publib] RE: [KANLIB-L:16078] RE: copyright information

I guess I wasn't clear. The patron wants copyright information. This is not
the publisher. It is not generally located in the MARC record. It is not at
Amazon. 

 

Any help? Or am I just crazy here?

WorldCat is now open to everyone to search, and it should include most of
the bibliographic information someone might need, except maybe LC number or
suggested DDC number.  It doesn't indicate in print or out of print as far
as I can tell.

The US Copyright office has a Public Copyright Catalog (1978-present) at

&PAGE=First  That might be a start.

I just got this request from a patron and don't know the answer. Any help
out there?

 

Is there a free public site that provides bibliographic data on books in
print. I have done a google search by author and title. Sometimes I can get
the title page but usually not the copyright page. Can you help?
