Just to throw another idea into the mix, the Downers Grove Public
Library has a wall of white board in the Children's Program Room and
also in the public Conference Room. Dry erase markers can be used on the
board, then wiped off. Groups like the high school debate teams love to
use the wall in the conference room to plan their strategies. We do have
to touch up the paint from time to time, when someone gets a little too
enthusiastic and keeps writing around the corner on the wall. The white
board is magnetic too.

Magnetic paint is terrific. The more layers you paint on, the stronger
it is and if you don't want a black area on your wall, you can paint
over it with any color and still have the magnetic use of the wall.
