[Publib] Adult program ideas for public libraries

Hi Sheila,

Just this week we've offered our first small business class in conjunction
with a local entrepreneur agency (you could contact your local Small
Business Administration or SCORE volunteers). Their director is teaching a
basic How to Get Started session, then we have someone from our city's
planning department to talk about the city's restrictions, and I give a
presentation on using our resources and databases to conduct research (how
to find market research reports, show how to get Fortune and trade journals
online, etc.).
We had 6 come yesterday morning, and are expecting 15 at this evening's
session.

We've offered a popular 5-session computer basics class for several years,
too.

We're trying to expand our adult programming, so most of our other programs
are new and we get our ideas by looking at what patrons are checking out.
Partnering with a local agency probably more than doubled our marketing
exposure, plus had the added benefit of an expert lending legitimacy.
