Right now we have two adult programs upcoming:?
1) The CT chapter of the Natl Assoc of Professional Organizers is doing free presentations in public libraries about how to get organized.? These programs are wildly popular.? Perhaps other states have chapters.
2) A nutrition counselor is doing a presentation regarding vegan and vegetarian diets - why people choose this type of diet, the difference between the two, and the specific challenges of making sure one's diet is healthy while avoiding animal products.? She will also cook a couple of dishes that attendees can sample.? Cost is expected to be around $125,?including food supplies and a modest honorarium paid to the presenter.?
In a past library position, I've offered the middle and high school music groups a concert venue and a slightly different audience.? We hosted the formal h.s. jazz band, four outstanding pianists in concert, the middle school strings group, and a string quartet playing in the lobby.? No cost, very popular.?
I'm also interested to hear about other ideas, especially those that are free or low cost.
