Enser's Filmed Books and Plays was updated in 2003 and covers from
1928-2001. Still dated, but better than the older edition. There is
also The Literary Filmography: 6,200 Adaptations of Books, Short Stories
and Other Nondramatic Works, published in 2006. I haven't seen that one
so I can't tell you anything about it other than it exists.
Hope this helps.

Every couple of months and/or at least twice a year, Publishers Weekly
publishes a books to movie feature. Also the PW regular column "Deals"
is a good place to see what books have been optioned for movies.
Entertainment Weekly is another good magazine to see what movies are
being made & if they are based on books.
There is "Filmed books & plays...1928-1983." A.G.S. Enser, but it's
kinda old.

I've found several websites that have bibliographies of movies
based on books. Is anybody aware of any published print materials
dealing with books turned into movies?
Thanks!
