Subject: [Publib] Information desk re-design ideas

To all: We are investigating redesign options for downsizing our adult
information desk so we can open up our service area and allow for more
approachable service access points. I had no success posing my concerns to
furniture vendors and design consultants at ALA in D.C. I'm sure other
libraries are pondering similar changes as we embrace roving, wireless
headsets that free us from desk-anchored telephones and otherwise going
mobile. Any suggestions, comments or concerns would be welcome. I'm happy
to phone any responders if that would make sharing your thoughts more
convenient. Regards, Mary Killian
