[Publib] ... personal or family treasures that are never going to ebay

Storytellers Sourcebook, volumes I and II, are my treasures. I don't
remember if I asked Margaret Read MacDonald to autograph them or not,
but I use both books regularly and when I hold them they feel like real
treasure in my hands. They are the path to thousands of folktales from
all over the world. 

 

Now my ten-volume Ocean of Story bought at a library book sale), with
uncut pages, one of 1500 sets published in 1924 (I think mine is set
32)-that might go to eBay. Because if I cut the pages, the set loses
value, but what is the value to me of books with uncut pages? It's
lovely, but it's not mine.
