Back when the world was young and I was about ready to wed, my then-fiance
bought a new 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 with a ginormous engine for about $3500.
His grandfather told him that "anything that costs that much better have a
basement under it."  (Little did we know that by 1980 we'd probably spend
twice that in gas since the thing took premium at $.35 a gallon!! and only
got about 10 miles to the gallon on a good day.  I loved driving it though,
since you thought "fast" and you were driving 80 mph.)
