[Publib] Oh, don't we wish! -- Tuesday (was Monday humor)

Ooh Ooh -- this happened to me!
A couple found books in the dumpster (what they were
doing rooting around the dumpster in the first place
is beyond me) and complained to a Board Member. I
talked to them 'til I was blue in the face but
couldn't convince them that moldy, falling apart,
un-repairable books couldn't be used.
They didn't really care -- they just loved books and
didn't think any should ever be thrown out. I offered
to have all the books sent to their home, but they
declined.
Maybe they thought the basement went deep underground
and we had unlimited space to keep everything we ever
purchased, or was donated to us!
Now, when we take books to the dumpster, we double bag
them and take them out the night before the trash is
collected. ;}
Ahhhh life -- it's never dull is it?
