We created 3 holdings codes for Playaways.  DAB or digital audio book; JDAB
or juv audio book; YDAB or YA digital audio book.  No distinction between
fiction and nonfiction except by Dewey.  For example, Marley and Me is  DAB
636.7527 GRO  and the Kite Runner is  DAB F HOS.  Hope that helps.

This is a tech services question, but our cataloger asked my opinion and I
said I'd pass it along. My library has purchased two pre-loaded playaways
and how to other libraries catalog them? Do you simply catalog them with our
audio books on CD or have you created a special holdings code? My opinion is
to create a holdings code so as to specifically track circulation, but does
anyone have a better idea? Thanks so much for your help.
