Terry,
I currently work in an academic library, but have worked in public
libraries in the past. We are currently contracting with a company called
Rise (www.risevision.com) and they have a hosted solution where you develop
the content through a web interface and it displays on a flat pannel... now
this may be a bit pricey (the University had all the hard ware before the
library started using it, so I don't know all those costs...) but the hosted
solution is about $800/yr plus cost for their developers to help create the
initial layout designs (if you need this type of help...)
just a thought
